This ministry exists to glorify God by helping people experience His Healing Light and power in the dark places of their heart, mind and spirit by applying biblical truth.
About the Ministry
After coming out of her own time of healing in the wilderness, Cyndy began writing and teaching a women’s Bible study in 2001 that would become the Healing Journey. Almost immediately, she began getting requests for the materials, but had nothing to share because it was simply a live teaching.
That began to change two years later. In 2003, the same year the ministry officially began, Cyndy began writing the curriculum. In 2006, they took the big step of filming the Healing Journey lessons. After two more years, testing the curriculum with several pilot classes, and creating leadership materials, it was finally ready for the general public.
With the Healing Journey finally launched, they turned their attention to other projects: filming and producing Resting in Jesus, Running with Horses, and Healing Journey for men. The women’s Healing Journey lessons were refilmed in 2016.
Simply by word of mouth, the ministry has grown, coast to coast. It has been the fulfillment of their mission to see thousands of men and women set free from pain and suffering and get reconnected with God.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation, governed by a Board of Directors, they are supported entirely by tax-deductible donations and the sale of materials. They operate without debt. HHLM is not affiliated with a denomination.

About Cyndy
Cyndy Sherwood is the creative director of His Healing Light Ministries, developing content and materials for the ministry. She has been writing Bible studies and teaching Scripture since 1972.
Her material has emerged from her 9-year healing journey with the Lord that began in 1991. Through her own suffering and seeking the Lord through her pain, she discovered his truths that restore us to the fullness of life that he intends for all of us.
In addition to Healing Journey, she has written and filmed three other studies, Freedom Journey, Resting in Jesus, and Running with Horses. She has also written three devotional books, Healing Words, Resting Words, and Running Words, a nonfiction book, Road Map to Healing, and her story, My Healing Journey.
Cyndy and her husband, Bryan, live in Colorado Springs. They have four adult children, a daughter who has gone on to be with the Lord, and oodles of grandchildren.

About Bryan
Bryan is the director of operations for His Healing Light Ministries. Even though Cyndy wrote the Healing Journey for women, Bryan knew God’s principles were for everyone. So he began a men’s class in 2009. God used this group to bring great healing to Bryan’s heart and mind.
Many unresolved, painful events were blocking Bryan’s life, including difficult childhood memories, having his first wife walk away, leaving him to raise three kids, and later the death of his nineteen-year-old daughter. Bryan witnessed, first hand, powerful restoration in his life through the Healing Journey.
Bryan wasn’t the only one leading men’s groups. Soon men’s classes were popping up in other locations. The ministry knew men using women’s materials would not be a suitable situation, long term. So, in 2014, they produced the men’s Healing Journey, with Bryan teaching the same biblical content.
Bryan is a General Contractor and enjoys the mountains and fly fishing, whenever he can get time off.

Statement on Marriage and Sexuality
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen. 1:26-27). Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.
We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe that marriage between one man and one woman, for life, uniquely reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church (Eph. 5:21-33). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4). We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matt. 15:18-20; 1 Cor. 6:9-10).
We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of His Healing Light Ministries as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to His Healing Light Ministries members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by His Healing Light Ministries in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, agree to and abide by this Statement on Marriage, Gender, and Sexuality (Matt 5:16; Phil 2:14-16; 1 Thess 5:22).
We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ (Acts 3:19-21; Rom 10:9-10; 1 Cor 6:9-11).
We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity (Mark 12:28-31; Luke 6:31). Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of His Healing Light Ministries.
